Friday Music Report

According the my Last.fm profile, I listened to the following music last week:
  1. Beethoven
  2. Afghan Whigs
  3. The Woodentops
  4. The Pixies
  5. Ivy
  6. Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians
  7. The Charlatans U.K.
  8. The Soundtrack of Our Lives
  9. The Microphones
  10. Catherine Wheel
This list probably mis-represents my listening a little bit last week. I listened to a couple of Beethoven Symphonies while working one day, but since each movement counts as a track, he gets top honors.

In other music news, the Arcade Fire show in Atlanta is sold out. I guess that makes up my mind for me. In retrospect I can now say that there was no way I was going to pay about $40 dollars for a ticket to a show at the Civic Center (thanks Ticketbastard and crappy venue).

Friday Music Report

I still haven't been listening to much music at work lately (most of my listening these days happens on the train), but at least there isn't a 10 way tie for first this week at one song per artist. Here's what my Last.fm profile says I listened to the most last week:
  1. The Arcade Fire
  2. Bloc Party
  3. Stereophonics
  4. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
  5. The Futureheads
  6. The American Analog Set
  7. Stereolab
  8. The Hold Steady
  9. Thievery Corporation
  10. Stephen Malkmus
In other music news, I'm just waiting for some new albums by Wilco and The National to drop, and looking forward to shows by The Arcade Fire, Ted Leo, Clap You Hands Say Yeah! and The National.

Blog Updates

And I don't necessarily mean lack thereof.

Sometime last week, I was prompted to switch to Blogger 2.0. The main addition from this change has been the addition of tags to each post (or, as Blogger calls them, "labels"). Semantics aside, I've long wished I had this ability through blogger, and while I'm not 100% thrilled with how they're implemented exactly, they certainly beat nothing. Unfortunately, to have full control over their presentation, I'd have to abandon this URL (or let Google host it), so I'll just have to put up with it I guess.

To make a long story short, the time I would have spent posting over the last week or so, I've been doing housekeeping on the site, adding these tags. Well, and I've been extremely busy at work too. But that will happen from time to time. Let me know how the tags work if you get a chance.
